Finnish Currency

The Finnish Currency project is a redesign project aimed at developing a new and contemporary design for the countries currency. Finland has a unique culture and environment. Being that Finland is located far north near the Arctic, their climate influences their culture and traditions heavily. These bills are reminiscent of their folk lore, culture, and seasonal traditions. There are three denominations; 50, 20, and 10 markka (their original currency name before converting to the euro). The 50 markka is the summer influenced bill. Summer is short but very lively and anticipated in Finland. The 20 is the winter bill, which is the longest season. Finally the 10 markka is a duo of fall and spring which are the short transitional seasons that host popular traditions that make Finland distinguishable.
