My approach to art is much like a science, I observe, experiment, and analyze information. I aim to enlighten others with the beauty of creativity and art, much like scientists enlighten society with facts of nature. I believe that art is a necessary force in our daily lives; whether it is graphic design, fine art, multimedia, animation, branding, package design, architectural design, etc. I hold an inherent passion for creating things and appreciating life through the conceptual lens of form and color.
By studying Visual Communication, I have found that my scientific approach can help plan effective semantic and syntactic representations of information. I believe that all types of art are forms of communication. When I create art from raw materials, I’m speaking personally about my beliefs on the human connection to science and nature. When I develop work for others using my education in Graphic Design, I am visually communicating my client’s information and message. This deeply observational process has helped me learn to sort out the variables necessary to address specific challenges at hand. Approaching projects in this way helps me create complex visual narratives that are unique and effective.
Art will remain the apex of my passion and purpose in life. I intend to continue exploring the possibilities that art and design can bring to society, as well as to emphasize experimentation as a pivotal part of my practice.
